Kia ora clan,
Today I unveil something I see as a little exciting for the clan, something that will hopefully draw some interest from members of all ranks.
As you all know, Kore Irka Clan is role-played as a sub-clan of the Kore Pack of Enkidukai, and it's supportive militia.
This clan is 'ruled' or 'commanded', in character, by the Kivikar family, notably the alpha brothers Akaiddo (Nekaduky'a), and Vakachehk, who is generally considered the second in command (though equal to the other Manthanols).
At this point I will note that OOC this ranking system has no application to your importance to the clan. We as players consider all humans equal, and as such all of our member's opinions are considered equal, except if someone is griefing or not living up to the RP standards we have set, in which case we kindly ask the person in question to move on.
Anyway, this topic is about the Kivikar family. Tonight (with some luck) I will release an entire history of Kore Irka Clan on this forum (depending on my time allowances). I have decided as a player to open up the Kivikar family of characters to 'application'.
A few notes:
1) Your character, from the point of acceptance given from both myself and Vakachehk, will roleplay their character having been born into the family. No adoptions are possible.
2) Your character must be a Kore Enkidukai, witha focus on being a Finkyli warrior. They must be clearly devoted to the Kore Irka Clan and it's purpose, as the Kivikar family have long served the Clan as commanders and consider themselves and their children born into this role, and thus it is engrained in them that they are to serve this role. Kivikars also do not marry outside the Kore pack, to keep their line "pure". Doing so would forfeit their role in the clan.
3) You are to consistently RP as a Kivikar. Our family are traditionalist Enkidukai, devoted to our people the Enkidukai, and worship one of the three 'good' gods, especially Talad. Your character's religion is up to you, but BlackFlame, Dakkru, and atheist/agnostic applicants will not get a place in the family.
4) There is no stats/skill requirement to join the Kivikar family. We do however ask that family members train a weapon and heavy armour, max the physical stats, and learn at least one level of Red Way (for ceremonies, Irka is Enkien for Flame)
I'm not trying to be controlling by listing these requirements. being a member of the Kivikar family will hold a level of RP prestige, and I really do want only the best and most consistent players, and their characters to match. I will be releasing as much material on this forum to help all members know the heritage of the guild, in the Guild Information section. This is all for consistency, so that everyone knows where our clan/family came from and can RP this information as they need to. Do note that Akaiddo will not appreciate KIC members gossiping about Clan history to any person they meet. Don't be an over-trusting Mary Sue and tell everyone about everything good and bad the Clan ever did
All Kore Irka Clan members who are Kore Enkidukai are applicable for this opportunity. Vakachehk and myself will vet each applicant, discussing privately their IC and OOC suitability, will OOC interview the applicant at least once, and make a decision. This process is entirely OOC, IC, if successful, your character was always a Kivikar, there is no change.
If you are successful we will also contact Game Masters to have your character's last name changed to Kivikar, unless the family position applied for leaves you with a different last name due to marriage, or being related by marriage, etc.
Until you are accepted no one is to roleplay any relation to the Kivikar brothers. Just roleplay that you are loosely related in the Clan structure.
Thanks for reading. Please send all applications in private. Note that being a Kivikar will not increase your rank, you will be required to do the same training to be ranked up. It may shortlist you for later Manthanol status after you attain the Finkyli/Finkyli Ylol rank. Also you are more likely to be given a Ylol rank (Squad Sergeant rank) as members of the family are considered more trustworthy and would have been trained in strategy and tactics from youth.
Do apply, I really want to expand the core family of this clan.
If you are a Manthanol, you are quite likely to be accepted.
